Enchanté

C’est moi has finally been launched! And I’m as excited as ever!! Only me and Tanya know what it means to finally have us registered in the blogging space which suddenly seems as important as owning a real estate space and considering how long we have been postponing it, it sure is an achievement! (round of applause) Why C’est moi? Are we French? Certainly not! Heavens, Napolaen would turn in his grave if we heard our French! The only thing we know very well is ‘Je ne parle pas Francais’ (meaning => we do not speak French) and must say managed our month long trip in France quite successfully with that one magical sentence! And surprisingly the lack of knowledge of this language resulted in us having our very own personal concert played and sung only for us! Almost makes me feel like taking my bows, cuz I feel mighty royal that we were treated so well.

Coming back to ‘C’est Moi’, the name is in memory of one highly heady evening that we(me, Tanya, Aarti and Mawii) had on our last day in Paris, we went to one of the most spectacular broadways, a very famous one that too, ‘Cabaret – The Forbidden Broadway’ and what’s more we understood most of the French in it and kept gaping at the dresses Kit Kat club members sported ;) He(the host who was wearing nothing but jumpers and err…some rather odd makeup[I’ll be modest and not provide the entertaining details(wink)] and our most favourite part was the C’est moi part. Those of you who were privileged enough to see the broadway , will know what we mean! it was purfffect to a ‘t’ for our blog.

What do the not-so-kindred souls like me,Tanya and Aarti plan to do with our blog?? It is here for us to reminisce, make some rather bold comments and give an account of the one too many fiasco’s that we seem to keep running into! And had it not been for the sudden Delhi trip that Tanya planned to take, which does not lay it roots entirely in home sickness but from some rather interesting event on the professional front. She, in a very drunken state(not contributed at all by alcohol), walked up to her boss and told that she quit!! On asking why? Gave him all the reasons she had planned never to blurt out, no matter how much she meant it! Well(sigh), good for her and definitely some food for thought for her boss! This blog is very dear to us solely because, while we were Europe trotting, we promised to start our blog and share some of the best experiences we had out of which the ‘The Cabaret’, the landing in Venice w/o a place to stay and the 2 hour walk on one of Barcelona’s railway tracks at 1 in the night, will remain some of the most memorable of the times we spent and take us back to some very dear and heady moments! [No, no we are not those foreign returned Indians who cant stop talking about how much they enjoyed their time away, fact remains that we did enjoy our trip, but nothing like the charm of the diverse, colorful country we live in! we love it and love every other place that’s equally enchanting and spell bounding]

Well, here’s cheers to our blog, to our corner at Frescos, to Tanya’s Marlboros(that have a way of disappearing in packs) and Aarti’s mosquito bites(She has a way of attracting all the insect fraternity even in the remotest most protective corner of a hang out!) and to all the moments bygone and the ones waiting to greet us. We have our SPOT! [Hurray]
I call myself, ‘The looks are deceptive ‘hijabi’, Tanya is the ‘exotic Indian with a Latino jacket’ ;) and Aarti well, hard to define, but will call her the lighthearted, extremely attractive ‘snob’!
